Great food , reminds me of my grandmother's cooking

Wonderful Southern Style cooking in Panama City Florida. The atmosphere and location are superb and the food is as well! Large portion sizes and reasonable prices. Great friendly staff too. Parking is also convenient.

Outstanding country food, great service, great vibe. Don't miss Big Mamas if you`re in PC.

If for no other reason, I would come here for the sweet tea. Better than Chick-fil-A! Fantastic service and southern cooking. Not a fan of their coffee at breakfast, though. Sticking with sweet tea next time. Lunch is really really delicious, too!!

Portions are large and reasonably priced. Nice country atmosphere. Variety was slim on meats but plenty of sides to choose from. I would highly recommend this place. If go, go early they're only open for Breakfast and Lunch.

Besides calling to order a take-out and being hung up on then calling back for 20 minutes only to find out when I got to your restaurant that the lady intentionally left the phone off the hook... The food was probably the best I've had in the PC area. I'm gonna try you guys once more for takeout on a phone call. I suggest you take the call if you'd like some new to the city return customers. Southern Hospitality is not expected but with a name like big mama's I'd hope you hire some nicer gals to work for you. Next time I get hung up on or treated poorly I won't visit you again and I will spread word.

11 dollars for a meal is pretty good these days. Food was good. Redvelvet cake was kinda blah...just didn't have the flavor. Same with the cornbread. But everything else was very good.

I love big Mama's. I have only had their breakfast but it's good and fast. The service is always kind and nice. Also just a good hometown local feel.

Absolutely love this place for the occasional comfort food. Whether it be for breakfast or lunch. Home style cooking at a reasonable price. What’s not to love! Nice view out the back of the Bayou.

My husband and I didn’t enjoy this food at all. It wasn’t country cooking. It was country “Canned” cooking.” Everything didn’t have any flavors. Vegetables were over over cooked! The chicken tasted ok. However, it wasn’t freshly fried.

Love this place! We found this gem in St. Andrews bay right beside Panama City. Their biscuits and gravy are the best I’ve ever had and I’ve been on this planet for 40 years. My dad had the chicken fried steak and we’ve never tasted anything so tender and crunchy. The staff is awesome we were greeted 3 times by cheery servers and cashiers before taking our seats. We can’t wait to try their lunch menu next week!

My boss and I went there for lunch the food was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Just plain awesome! So worth the try! To me the best was it was quiet, you can focus on eating and enjoying the food without noise, plus they serve very generous food playing so please be hungry!

This place has a great view of the water and a southern style of cooking . Each day is a different menu .it not to expensive for the quantity of food you get

Good food just a little pricey. Friendly staff but not very attentive to your needs. Asked for butter 3 times never got it, nor refills on our drinks

So we lost our roof in marianna from Hurricane micheal and pitched a tent in pc to work tarping roofs. We weren't going to get paid til 2 wks (which they screwed us). Went here 1 time to eat since I was preg (yes was up and down roofs at least 3 houses a day 2 stories tall). This place was amazing. The people who worked here were kind. The food was beyond good. View was decent though trees were down everywhere anyways. Price was great for all you get to eat. We will be taking kids there again one day

What a gem of a southern style restaurant on the bay. Food is outstanding, service is friendly and what a great value. I'd definitely get the fried chicken plus three sides. Almost forgot, get the Cole slaw for sure. Yum.

This place was poppin’! Food was so good I contemplated moving to Florida for that one restaurant alone. None of the popular restaurants in Panama could touch this restaurant. The staff was very friendly! I had the best waitress! My glass was always full and she made sure we were well taken care of. 10/10 recommend this place! P.S. Get the mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes. They made me shed a little tear.

Awesome place to find southern cooking. I had their Friday fish dinner and I was in for a treat. If you haven't tried their food, it's definitely worth it. And the owner is sweet and so nice. He makes you feel at home and part of the family. It definitely won't be my last time visiting. Thank you for all your hospitality!

Excellent lunch spot. Super yummy comfort food. The menu rotates daily. They also serve breakfast in the a.m. Nice people too.

Good and ample amount of food and served quickly at reasonable prices. My only con is I asked if they had diet caffeine free Coke. The answer was yes. I even repeated it had to be caffeine free. I was served regular diet Coke as that is all they had at their fountain.It was mentioned when people ask if it's caffeine free it should be known and told to the customer that it is not. She seemed like oh, ho hum about it.Not a good practice for sure when people can be affected in an adverse way from consuming it.

Busy at lunch time. Best time to go is 11:00 or after 1:00. Great food, friendly staff.

First time here and will not be the last! Hubby and I had the 2 eggs, bacon, grits, home fries, biscuit and one pancake to split. Omgoodness. I haven't had such good breakfast in a long time. I should of taken pics of the rest of the food but I honestly couldn't get over how big the pancake was. Over an inch thick!!! Service was great and we came somewhat early on a Monday so it wasn't to bad. Definitely will be coming back in the near future to try their lunch menu. 😍

Only open for breakfast and lunch, they're located on a protected bayou just across from St. Andrew Bay off Beach Dr. The views are beautiful, the food is always perfectly prepared southern dishes (including homemade desserts) and the service is great. Lots of seating, including covered outdoor seating by the water, but the place is packed from breakfast through lunch. It's just THAT good!

Its a amazing lunch menu for todays lunch. I will be coming back for more with my family. Its worth the price you pay. You will leave happy and full. You might even have a take-out box if you dont finish. It was so good that i wanted more but i was already full. They have a wonderful staff.

Great place! I have never been disappointed coming to big momma's... I enjoy the deck along with the views. Big Momma's food is great tasting along with the over sized portions it just can't be beat.. I definitely recommend that you try it out for yourself chances are tipping the scale toward a great dining experience. Thank you to the staff at big momma's for working so hard to keep your place in my opinion a few steps above and beyond the compitition.

Wow! This is a great little local place. It’s dramatically more refined than your average country cooking place. Tuesdays and Fridays they serve fish and shrimp. The service is quick. The prices are great. The owner came out and greeted us (I took a selfie with her). The atmosphere is just so peaceful from the moment you drive on the property.

This restaurant is excellent! The food has excellent texture, the sauce is creamy, and the texture is thick. The service is fast, the food is super service. They are the best! The food is super friendly, and their menu is extremely friendly. I was very curious to see if they had other options on the menu. I can't say if this would be a great place to go. It's not a place to go, it's a place where I don't think I can eat anything, and the restaurant is very busy.

Oh my goodness. Went in by myself. Ate at the diner style bar. Felt like I belonged there. Home cooking at its finest. For the few moments that you are there... life is just simpler and delicious. Like a good ole southern hug with a salty breeze

Exactly what some southern comfort food should be. Hearty but not too dense, flavorful but familiar. Some good options with a nice dessert menu. Fairly priced, attentive staff, clean and easy to get too. Wonderful place!

If you want real good food then go here! The view is great , the servers are friendly the menu is simple and to the point. It's all good. The fried chicken, the country fried steak, the catfish, the fried shrimp, Lima beans, corn bread, flat green beans, collards! I'll just let ya'll experience the desserts on your own and they know sweet tea!

If you want a home cooked meal with a large amount of food then this is the place to go. I couldn't even finish my meal. Good Stuff!
